Yadav is left stranded on a good innings of 18 from 23 balls, he may now regret taking that single off the previous delivery.

India are bowled out for 236 in 49.3 overs as New Zealand win by six runs to register their first victory on the tour and level the five-match series at 1-1.

Importantly, none of the Indian batsmen registered a half-century, while New Zealand's total was built on the wonderful century by their captain Kane Williamson.

The third match will be played in Mohali, on Sunday, October 23.

India 233-9 (49 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Boult to bowl the penultimate over. Yadav takes a single from the first ball before Pandya lets one go but the umpire doesn't rule it a wide.

Pandya slams the third ball over mid-off for a four before Boult bowls a good yorker which the right-hander can only defend.

Pandya aims for another boundary as he awkwardly throws his bat at one outside the off-stump only to hole out to the sweeper cover fielder.

He walks back after a good innings of 36 from 32 balls, which brought back India from the dead but his dismissal has again titled the scale in NZ's favour.

Yadav keeps strike with a single from the last ball, tapping a full toss to the covers.

India need 10 runs from the last over for victory with just one wicket in hand.

India 227-8 (48 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Pandya takes a single from Henry's first ball before Yadav cuts it past point for two runs as Southee makes a good diving stop on the thirdman fence, running across to his right.

Yadav turns the third ball of his hips to fine leg for one before Pandya digs out a yorker on the leg side for another run, 17 needed from 14 balls.

Yadav can't beat the fielder in the covers as Pandya is nearly run out going for a quick single before a thick edge gets him a single and strike for the next over.
21:21   Pandya, Yadav give India hope; match set for a thrilling finish

India 221-8 (47 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Pamdya showing great maturity as he turns Southee to deep midwicket and calls his partner for a couple and gets one from the next ball to the same region.

Southee then bowls a wide before Yadav is beaten by a slower delivery as he looks to flay it through the off-side followed by a single.

Pandya then gets two runs courtesy of an overthrow and he sensibly retains strike with a single from the last ball.

India are doing well to stay in the hunt, with 22 needed from 18 balls for victory.

India 213-8 (46 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

The match has suddenly come alive. Two singles from three balls before Pandey is beaten by the incoming delivery from Boult which hits his pads and goes the keeper for four byes. He slaps the next ball past point for two runs followed by a single to make it nine from the over.

India still in the hunt with 30 needed from four overs for victory.

21:11   Pandya, Yadav give India hope but NZ in control

India 204-8 (45 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

The onus now lies on Pandya to guide India to an unlikely victory with just two wickets in hand.

Yadav doing well to give him support and not try anything fancy like some of the earlier batsmen.

The field is called in to stop the single but Pandya does well to cut Henry over point for a four despite a good effort form the fielder at deep point.

At the other end, Boult continues his good showing with the ball to build up the pressure on India.

Just a single comes from the first four balls before Pandey is deceived by a slower ball as he throws his bat to a wide one. He flicks Boult through midwicket for a single off the last ball to retain strike.

Pandya smashes Southee straight back but can't beat the fielder at mid-off. He turns the next ball through midwicket and calls Yadav for the second run, who struggles to make his crease and is lucky that the fielder didn't get the direct hit.

Yadav gets the much-needed boundary as he pulls a short ball from Southee over midwicket for a four followed by two more singles.

India are 204 for eight in 45 overs, needing 39 from 30 balls for victory.

20:51   India lose 8th wicket as NZ close in on victory

India 184-8 (41 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

With Devcich unable to complete his quota, part-timer Guptill has been called to bowl that one remaining over.

He starts with two wides down the leg side before Axar hits a low full toss straight down into the hands of Santner at long-off to perish for 17.

Guptill bowls another leg side wide to Mishra before he takes a single to long-on and Pandya picks a quick single on the off-side.

Guptill bags another wicket as Mishra gets a top edge, looking to play the slog sweep and is caught at short thirdman for one.

Quite a dramatic over from Guptill, including two wickets and four wides, but surely he won't get another over.

20:40   Dhoni dismissed for 39, NZ in control

India 178-6 (40 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

With the dew increasing quite a bit in the last half an hour or so, New Zealand have done well to finish 18 of the 20 overs so far from their two spinners, who have combined taken one for 89 in 18 overs.

Southee comes back, replacing Devcich, who has gone off the field. The pacer sends down a tight over, conceding just two runs as the run rate constantly keeps going up with India scoring 18 runs from the last five overs.

Dhoni looking to play out Santner, defending the first ball and then tucking the next on the leg side for one.

Axar breaks the shackles as he heaves Santner over midwicket for a huge six, you can't miss the sweet sound it made off the bat sending the ball soaring high into orbit.

Eight runs from the over as Santner finishes with good figures of one for 49 in 10 overs.

Southee sends the Kotla crowd into total silence with the wicket of Dhoni, courtesy of a brilliant reflex catch on his follow through.

Dhoni walks back after a lacklustre innings of 39 from 65 balls in which he hardly got going.

Infact, Southee did well to abruptly stop on his follow through and get down on his left to complete a good catch.

Hardik Pandya gets off the mark with two runs on the leg side before he slaps the last ball of the over for a four.

India are 178 for six in 40 overs, with another 65 needed from 10 overs for victory.

20:24   NZ on top but India's hopes rest on Dhoni

India 156-5 (36 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

New Zealand's two left-arm spinners bowling in tandem as they look to build the pressure with a few tight overs.

Santner concedes just two runs in his eighth over with Dhoni and Axar Patel looking to play it safe and not take any unnecessary risks.

India do well to take seven runs off Devcich's ninth over with good running between the wickets and some common sense cricket.

India are 156 for five in 36 overs with the required rate climbing to 6.2 with 87 needed from 14 overs for victory.

Dhoni is setting himself well for the final flourish, batting on 34 from 52 balls, while Patel is on seven.
20:08

India 147-5 (34 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Santner looks to build the pressure with a new batsman out in the middle, giving away just two singles, in the 33rd over.

Spin from both ends as Devcich comes back into the attack, he has three more overs in hand.

He concedes four runs in the over as India's required run rate touches the six-runs per over mark for the first time in their innings.

India need another 96 runs from 16 overs for victory with five wickets in hand and their hopes rest largely on Dhoni, who is batting on 29 from 44 balls.
image
20:05   Jadhav dismissed for 41, India lose 5th wicket

India 141-5 (32 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

New Zealand strike just at the right time as Henry claims the key wicket of Jadhav. The right-hander, who played a good innings of 41 from 37 balls, tried to run Henry to thirdman but ended up getting an edge and was caught by wicketkeeper Ronchi.

That was a nothing shot and would have at the most fetched him just a single but ends up costing him his wicket. He was looking very good playing in front of the wicket and missed a chance to make a sizeable contribution and stake his claim for a permanent berth in the ODI team.

A superb over from Henry conceding just two runs while making the crucial breakthrough as India are reduced to 141 for five in 32 overs.
image
19:51   Jadhav, Dhoni bring India back on course

India 134-4 (30 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Jadhav turning it on for the Indians. He comes down the track, makes room before lofting Santner over the off-side for a wonderful six.

The last ball is swept through square leg for a four to raise the 50-run stand for the fifth wicket between Jadhav and Dhoni from 52 balls.

Jadhav has raced his way to 32 from 26 balls, while Dhoni has played second fiddle on 18 from 28 balls.

The Maharashtra flicks Boult through midwicket for a couple, pushing his captain for the second before taking one to thirdman as the scoreboard keeps moving.

Henry comes back to replace Boult, who bowled another good spell, for total figures of one for 11 in six overs.

Jadhav steers the first ball fine of the thirdman fielder for a couple before taking one to thirdman.

Henry bowls another poor short ball, which doesn't rise much and Dhoni swats it square on the leg side for a four as India get the momentum back.

After 30 overs, India are 134-4 with another 109 needed from 20 overs for victory with six wickets in hand.

Jadhav has been a revelation with the bat, stroking his way to a fluent 38 from 32 balls, while Dhoni is batting steadily on 23 from 34 balls.
19:34   Pandey run out for 19 as India slip further

India 108-4 (26 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

India lose another wicket in the next over as Pandey is run out for 19 attempting a second run to deep square leg. A quick flat throw from Santner in the deep caught Pandey inches short of his crease as Ronchi does well to come in front of the stumps and whips off the bails in a flash.

Two wickets in the space of deliveries leave India tottering on 73 for four, in the 20th over.

Henry tries a short ball at Dhoni who has enough time on hand to pull it on the leg side for a four. In the next over, Jadhan sweeps Devcich for a four through square leg as India look to bounce back after the flurry of wickets.

Santner comes back to replace Devcich and he bowls a half-tracker which Jadhav deposits over midwicket for a six.

A few deliveries later, he again drops short while giving some width as Dhoni cuts it past point for a four as India reach 108 for four in 26 overs.
19:07   Rahane falls for 28, India lose 3rd wicket

India 72-3 (19 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Just like the Indian bowlers, the Kiwi spinners would be looking to stifle the Indian batsmen in the middle overs.

The wicket of Kohli would be a big boost for the visitors as they made a good comeback with the ball after a lacklustre performance with the bat.

Devcich drops one short as Manish Pandey pulls it over midwicket to help himself to an easy six as nine runs come from the over to take India to 57 for two in 15 overs.

Devcich, who has gone for 17 runs in three overs, makes way for pacer Southee. Rahane smashes the second ball back over the bowler's head for a boundary.

Santner is not giving away anything to the Indian batsmen, he has conceded just 10 runs in four overs while picking up the wicket of Kohli.

Rahane pulls a short ball from Southee as Anderson at the deep square leg fence rushes in and takes a low catch. The decision is referred to the third umpire with the on-field giving a soft signal that it is out.

However, the replays clearly indicated that the ball bounced before it was taken by Anderson.

Umpire Shamshuddin needs enough evidence to overturn the soft signal by the on-field umpire which was OUT. However, there is no clear replay to suggest that the ball bounced before it was taken and he sticks to the on-field umpire's decision and rules it out.

So, Rahane has to walk back after a controversial decision after scoring 28 from 49 balls to leave India in further strife at 72 for three in the 19th over.
18:35   Kohli fails with the bat, India in trouble

India 41-2 (12 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

At the end of the first 10 overs with the field spread around, New Zealand immediately introduce spin in the form of left-armer Anton Devcich.

He makes a tidy start with four singles coming from his first over, looking to bowl it full and on the stumps.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Santner strikes in his very first over with the big wicket of Kohli, who is caught down the leg side by wicketkeeper Ronchi for nine.

Kohli looked to nudge it fine but got a thin edge which was neatly taken by the wicketkeeper to leave India in trouble at 41 for two in 12 overs.
18:27   Rohit dismissed for 15, India lose early wicket

India 35-1 (10 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Rahane and Kohli looking to run most of the deliveries down to thirdman for singles. Infact, Rahane deliberately edges one fine past the wicketkeeper for a four.

In the next over, Rahane has a close shave as he is sent back halfway down the pitch but luckily he got back on time and the fielder also could not get the direct hit.

Some amount of width and Kohli needs no second invitation as he punches it through the covers for his first four to take India to 35 for one in 10 overs, needing another 208 runs from 40 overs for victory.
image
18:25   Rohit dismissed for 15, India lose early wicket

India 22-1 (8 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Boult has started off brilliantly, bowling two back to back maiden overs. Infact, except for a four in his first over, no runs have been scored off his remaining 17 deliveries.

Henry is taken off after going for 11 runs in his previous over as he makes way for the experienced Tim Southee.

Rohit turns the second ball on the leg side for a single before he keeps strike with one from the last ball.

Boult is finally rewarded for his superb bowling as he gets Rohit caught behind the wicket for 15. Bowling from round the wicket, Boult got the right-hander to come forward and poke at a wide outswinger which took the edge through to the wicketkeeper.

Rohit looked in a lot of pain immediately after the catch was taken as the physio came out to attend him. It seems he suffered some pain in his left arm and the journey back to the dressing was a painful one for the Mumbai batsman.

Out walked Virat Kohli to a huge cheer from his home crowd and he gets off the mark with a single on the leg side.

Meanwhile, Rahane continues to defend solidly, blocking out the remaining five deliveries of the over.

Boult has amazing figures of one for five in four overs, including two maidens, with India reduced to 22 for one in eight overs.

India 18-0 (5 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

Rohit breaks the shackles as he smashes a full delivery from Henry straight down the ground for a six.

He drives the last ball of the over in some style through the covers for a four to get 11 runs from the over to take India to 18 for no loss in five overs.
17:58   India off to a slow start after NZ post 242

India 7-0 (3 ovs) vs NZ 242-9 | Scorecard

The Mumbai's duo of Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane walk out to open the batting for the Indians with a relatively easy chase on hand on a good batting wicket.

Matt Henry to open the bowling. Rohit defends the first two balls before hitting the third to thirdman for a single to get India off the mark.

Rahane turns the last ball to fine leg for a single to keep the strike.

Left-arm pacer Trent Boult to bowl the second over. Rahane watchful at the start, defending confidently with a straight bat, before punching a full delivery back past the bowler for a four.

Henry follows up with another good over, conceding just a single with Rohit picking one from the last ball as India reach seven for no loss in three overs.
17:18   Williamson hits century but India restrict NZ to 242

NZ 242-9 (50 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Despite captain Kane Williamson's 118, New Zealand managed only a modest 242 for nine in their 50 overs on a flat wicket at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi.

At one stage, the Kiwis were looking well placed on 115 for one after 20 overs but lost their way courtesy of regular wickets in the middle overs.

Jasprit Bumrah chipped away at the wickets in the final overs to finish with wonderful figures of three for 35, while Amit Mishra claimed three for 60.

It was another poor batting performance from New Zealand especially towards the end as they lost six wickets for 40 runs in the last 10 overs.
17:13   Bumrah leaves New Zealand in a mess

NZ 242-9 (50 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

New Zealand would do well to get even to 250 from this stage. Yadav is called back from the other end and he also look to keep it full and keep the NZ lower order batsmen quiet.

Despite their best efforts, Santner and Taylor pick up only four singles from the 47th over.

Clever change of tactics from Bumrah as he starts the 48th over with a slower ball which beats Henry all ends up.

The next ball is again slower as Henry cuts it square but Manish Pandey comes up with a full length dive to save a boundary and continue India's smashing performance on the field.

Henry plays all over another good yorker from Bumrah and is lucky that the ball just missed the stumps to end another superb over from the young pacer.

Santner slaps Yadav down the ground to long-off for a single before Henry swings a full toss over midwicket for another run.

Henry throwing his bat at everything as he top edges the pull but it falls safely on the leg side as just four runs come from the penultimate over.

Bumrah is having a ball out in the middle. He follows up a quick yorker with a slower ball which foxes Henry all ends up as he is bowled for six.

Trent Boult edges the last ball but it falls well short of wicketkeeper Dhoni. Two balls later, he gets another edge, this time it is a thick outside edge which goes fine for a four through thirdman for the first boundary for New Zealand after a long wait of 12 overs.
image
16:56   Bumrah's double strike leaves NZ in tatters

NZ 225-8 (46 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Left-hander Anton Devcich playing his first game of the tour reverse sweeps Mishra for a single to sweeper cover.

A few deliveries later, he takes a risky second run to deep midwicket and has to dive to make his crease.

He powerfully sweeps the fifth ball and is very casual in taking the second run to deep square leg.

Dhoni whips off the bails and Devcich, who is struggling with some hamstring issue, makes his crease just in time. He makes room and lofts the last ball of the over to long-off for another run.

A good spell from Mishra as the veteran leg-spinner finishes with creditable figures of three for 59 in nine overs.

Devcich finally perishes in the next over as he looks as Axar produces a stunning catch at short fine leg off to send back the left-hander for seven.

The left-hander looked to paddle Bumrah over the the fielder but failed to get enough elevation and Axar took a few steps back and came up with a superb catch over his head to pluck it out of mid air, while diving to his right.

New Zealand's batsmen have once again let their team down and except for Williamson, no one else has taken the responsibility to stay out in the middle today.

Bumrah bowls an excellent yorker, which nearly goes through Tim Southee as it passes the leg stump.

But the next is right on the mark, outside the off-stump and reversing in sharply to crashing into the off-stump to bowl out Southee for a duck.

The last ball is again a yorker as new batsman Matt Henry manages to keep it out.

A top over from Bumrah, conceding just a single while picking up two wickets as NZ are reduced to 225 for eight in 46 overs.
16:43   Williamson and Ronchi perish as NZ stumble

NZ 217-6 (44 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

The wickets continue to tumble for the Kiwis and this time it is Luke Ronchi, who is caught behind for six.

Ronchi looks to cut Axar but gets a thick outside edge and this time Dhoni does well to pouch it, have dropped one earlier in the innings off the same bowler.

New Zealand have lost three wickets for 12 runs in 22 balls to be reduced to 216 for six in the 44th over.
image
16:40   Williamson falls for 118, NZ lose 5th wicket

NZ 214-5 (43 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

New Zealand lose another wicket, and this time it is the key scalp of captain Williamson. The Kiwi captain looks to loft Mishra down the ground but is caught at long-off after a superb innings of 118.

He look visibly tired and the forearm injury was also hampering him quite a bit.

New Zealand need a strong finish to reach a target of around the 275-run mark, which should be competitive on this flat batting track.
16:31   Mishra dismisses Anderson, NZ lose 4th wicket

NZ 205-4 (41 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Mishra, who has three overs left, comes back. Anderson goes across and looks to sweep it across the line but misses and is struck right in front of the stumps but umpire Anil Chaudhary turns down the appeal. That was as plumb as anything but the umpire surprisingly turns it down and Anderson, on 20, gets a lifeline.

But Mishra finally gets his man a few deliveries later. Once again, Anderson looks to swipe it across on the leg side but is again struck on the pads and this time the umpire upholds the appeal. The left-hander again went across to hit it on the leg side but missed and the umpire had no choice but to rule it out.
16:27   Williamson hits century but India keep NZ in check

NZ 202-3 (40 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Anderson takes the risk as he walks across the stumps and lofts Mishra in the big gap over midwicket for a four.

New Zealand collect another four singles in the over to get eight from the 37th over.

This will be the time New Zealand will look to push the accelerator and increasing the scoring rate. They will obviously be targetting a score of around the 275-run mark.

Williamson, who is struggling with pain in his arm, also decides to go on the attack as he lofts Pandya down the ground over mid-on for a four.

But Pandya manages to come back well after that boundary, giving away just a single in the rest of the over.

Bumrah also sends down a tidy over, giving away just five runs with New Zealand still content to bat steadily. Perhaps they are waiting for the last 10 overs to go on an all out attack.

Fast bowlers from both ends as Yadav comes back into the attack with Dhoni not wanting his spinners to bowl in the Powerplay overs.

India have done well to keep New Zealand with just 26 runs coming in the five overs of Powerplay between the 35th and 40th over.
image
16:07   Williamson hits century to lift New Zealand

NZ 180-3 (36 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Following the drinks break, Yadav bowls five dot balls in succession to Anderson, who is also taking his time to get his eye in.

Anderson finally releases the pressure as he uppishly drives Yadav through the covers for a four. In this era of fielders diving around, it was surprising to see Kohli at mid-off not attempting the catch, maybe he just misjudged it.

Mishra comes back as he starts with one on the leg stump which Williamson sweeps behind square for a four to take his score to 96.

He repeats the shot but this time gets just a single to deep square leg followed by two more singles.

Another change as Bumrah comes into the attack, to replace Yadav.

Williamson close in on his century as he calls out the physio to attend him with some discomfort in his left forearm.

He drives Bumrah through the covers for two runs to bring up his first ODI century against India, from 109 balls.
15:52   Taylor falls for 21 as NZ struggle in the middle overs

NZ 165-3 (33 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Dhoni continues to shuffle his bowlers around and even Kohli has been quite active in helping out his captain, by setting fields at times and speaking to the bowlers in between.

Yadav comes back as Williamson takes a single before new batsman James Anderson plays out the remaining five deliveries.

And again a bowler is taken off after taking a wicket in his previous over. This time it is justified as off-spinner Jadhav is called back with left-hander Anderson out in the middle.

New Zealand's batsmen do well to milk six singles from the over to take the score to 165 for three in 33 overs, with Williamson unbeaten on 92 from 100 balls.
image
15:43   Taylor falls for 21, NZ lose 3rd wicket

NZ 158-3 (31 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Mishra went for runs in his first spell and Williamson is again keen to go after the veteran spinner as he is called back into the attack.

He looks to slog sweep the second ball but gets an inside edge for a single on the leg side. Again no boundaries as Mishra gives away just four singles in the over.

The struggling Taylor looks to heave Pandya over midwicket but again the timing is not perfect for two runs.

However, he gets some relief as Rahane's misfield at point gifts the right-hander a free boundary through the point region.

But despite the four, Taylor's struggles continue. He looks to break free as he swings Mishra over the leg side but is caught at deep midwicket after a painful knock of 21 from 42 balls.
15:31   India's bowlers keep NZ in check in the middle overs

NZ 143-2 (28 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Just singles at the moment for New Zealand, who must be desperate to break the shackles with a few fours.

Dhoni doing well to rotate his bowlers as Pandya is called back into the attack.

Taylor comes down the track and swings the second ball across the line and even though he doesn't time it well he gets it through midwicket for his first boundary.

He is struggling with his timing as he looks to cut a short ball which is close to his body for an inside edge which nearly goes back on to the stumps.

Patel in the midst of a very good spell as he sends down another tidy over, conceding just two runs.

Taylor has got stuck, scoring just 10 runs from 26 balls faced with New Zealand's scoring rate taking a sharp dip in the last few overs.

Pandya bowls a short ball as Williamson breaks the shackles with a streaky boundary, getting a top edge as he looks to pull a short ball for a four to take his score into the 80s.

Taylor looks to flick Pandya's full delivery on the leg side but misses as he shuffles across and the LBW is turned down.

The pressure continues to build on Taylor as the veteran batsman plays another four dot balls in a row.

Just 23 runs have been scored in the last 45 balls since the arrival of Taylor with NZ reaching 143 for two in 28 overs.
15:16   New Zealand struggle after Latham's dismissal

NZ 127-2 (24 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Double change for the Indians as Bumrah comes on from the other end. Taylor gets off the mark with two runs on the leg side before he bottom edges the next ball and then defends the last two deliveries.

Axar Patel has shuffled around as he replaces Jadhav, who is taken off despite taking a wicket in his first over.

This time Axar sends down a tidy over, giving away only two runs with Taylor taking his time to get his eye in.

Bumrah bowls a terrific yorker as Williamson falls over trying to block it. The umpire turns down the LBW appeal with the ball clearly sliding down the leg side.

Brilliant over from Bumrah, giving away just a single with Taylor again struggling to get going.

New Zealand have scored just seven runs from the last 22 deliveries since the dismissal of Latham to reach 127 for two in 24 overs.

A lot will rest on captain Williamson, who is batting well on 75 from 83 balls but Taylor's slow start (3 from 13 balls) might affect his batting too.
image
15:01   Latham out for 46, NZ lose 2nd wicket

NZ 120-2 (21 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Part-time Kedar Jadhav comes into the attack. He starts with a short ball which Williamson pulls for a four followed by a single.

Jadhav strikes in his very first over with the wicket of Latham, who is trapped leg before wicket for a good innings of 46 from as many balls.

Latham, who put on 120 runs for the second with Williamson, went right back to a full delivery from the off-spinner and was beaten to be struck right in front of the stumps.

A nervous poke from new batsman Ross Taylor first up as he defends the last three balls of the over.
image
14:54   Williamson hits half-century to rally New Zealand

NZ 115-1 (20 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Change of ends for Axar. He has a big appeal for LBW turned down, maybe it looked heading down the leg side or maybe a bit of an inside edge.

Latham sweeps the fifth ball behind square for two runs. He tries the same shot but this time it goes uppishly, just short of Rahane, who comes charging in for just a single.

New Zealand are looking to be positive against the spinners. Latham sweeps Mishra square on the leg side and it carries all the way over the fence for a six.

In the next over, NZ bring up their 100, in the 18th over with a single to Latham off Axar.

Latham sweeps one from well outside the off-stump to square leg for a single to break a sequence of three dot balls.

A few deliveries he comes down the track and finds the gap through the covers for another four.

Williamson (59) gets a lifeline as Dhoni puts down a straightforward chance with the Kiwi captain looking to cut but gets the edge.

12:54   In-form India hoping to continue winning run against NZ
Welcome to the coverage of the second One-Day International between India and New Zealand at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi, on Thursday.

An in-form India would be looking to continue their good run against the Kiwis, having won the first ODI in Dharamsala by six wickets following their 3-0 whitewash in the Test matches.

Meanwhile, New Zealand would be desperate to end their losing run in India, but they would need to come up with a good batting performance.

Even against a second-string Indian bowling attack missing the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami, New Zealand put a lowly 190 in the first ODI. They would be hoping to come good with the bat and also hope the toss goes their way, having lost four straight tosses.

India would be happy to continue their good showing from the first match and look to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
