NZ 107-4 (45 ovs); Target: 434 | Scorecard

Ronchi gets the first run of the day as he punches it to the covers for a single to bring Santner on strike against Jadeja, with a lot of rough outside his off-stump.

But he continues to defend, trying to play as late and as straight as possible to keep the Indian spinners at bay.

Ronchi looks to hit Ashwin through the off-side but it stays a bit low. Later in the over, he manages to fend a rising delivery from Ashwin past the slip fielder for a single.

While Santner is defending everything, Ronchi is still looking for every opportunity to score. He turns Jadeja against the turns through midwicket for a single to take his score to 41.

Jadeja nearly gets one to break through Santner's defence as a sharp turning delivery beats his forward defence but hits him high on the pads. He then looks to slog sweep the next ball but fails to make proper connection.

Santner finally gets his first runs on Day 5, from the 26th ball he faces in the morning session, giving Ashwin the charge and lofting him over mid-on for a four to take his score to 12.

Ronchi plays another good drive through the covers for a four as New Zealand reach 107 for four in 45 overs.
