India vs New Zealand, Kolkata

Good morning, welcome to our coverage of Day 1 of the second Test match between India and New Zealand at Kolkata on Friday.

After trailing 0-1 in the series, the Kiwis have suffered a major blow losing their skipper Kane Williamson to illness.

Senior batsman Ross Taylor will lead the visitors.

For India, the team management will have to make an important call between two Delhi batsmen Gautam Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan to decide who will open with Murali Vijay.

Former India captain and CAB President Sourav Ganguly had said that the Eden track will not be turning too much from the first day itself.

Skipper Virat Kohli will be looking to an unassailable 2-0 lead by winning this match in the 3-match Test series.
