An emphatic victory for Delhi Daredevils as they bundle out Pune for a lowly 108 after they had set them a huge 206 for victory.

Captain Zaheer led the way with the ball for Delhi as he picked up three for 20, while Mishra bagged three for 11 and Cummins claimed two wickets.

In the absence of captain Steve Smith, Pune's batting struggled with Agarwal the top scorer for the hosts with 20.

Earlier, Samson hit the first century of IPL 10 as he smashed a brilliant 102 from 63 balls, while Chris Morris launched a late assault -- hammering 38 from just nine balls, hitting four boundaries and three sixes.

Zampa looks to get one up on Mishra as he eyes a big hit down the ground but ends up holing out to Samson at deep midwicket.

Cummins ends it in the next over as Dinda is caught in the covers by Mishra to end Pune's poor showing with the bat.

Pune are bowled out for a paltry 108 in 16.1 overs to lose by a 97-run margin.

Chahar, who hit Cummins for successive sixes, now looks to go after Zaheer. He comes down the track but manages only an edge and is caught behind for 14. And Zaheer is not happy with the youngster who came down the track to hit him as the veteran fast bowler gives him some advice as he makes his way back.

Zaheer strikes again with his next delivery. Dinda gets the outside edge as Karun Nair at first slip takes a stunning one-handed catch low to his left. The decision is referred to the third umpire with the replays showing the ball might have touched the ground after he took the catch or maybe his fingers were underneath the ball.

Having got the reprieve, Dinda smashes Zaheer for a boundary over the covers to get off the mark. He has another wild swing but this time he is beaten.

Pune 100-7 (14 ovs) vs Delhi 205-4 | Scorecard

Chahar brings some cheer to the Pune camp as he smashes Cummins for back to back sixes in the 13th over but the target looks well beyond reach now.

Bhatia also looks to go on the attack as he slog sweeps Mishra but holes out to Morris at long-on to fall for 16.

Mishra on a hat-trick, having claimed Dhoni with the final ball of his last over and Bhatia with the first ball of his second over. He nearly gets the hat-trick as Zampa is beaten by the googly but the ball is slipping down the leg side. A few balls later, the right-hander drives Mishra through the covers for a four.

Pune 79-6 (12 ovs) vs Delhi 205-4 | Scorecard

Left-arm pacer Corey Anderson comes into the attack. Rajat Bhatia drives the first ball through the covers for two runs followed by a single each from the two batsmen.

The last ball is short as Bhatia pulls it powerfully over midwicket for a six to take Pune to 68 for five in 10 overs, needing 138 from the remaining 10 overs for victory.

Dhoni goes after his Jharkhand team mate Nadeem hoisting him back over his head for a straight six but the left-arm spinner still finishes with splendid figures of one for 23 in four overs.

Leg-spinner Amit Mishra is introduced in the attack, to bowl the 12th over. He strikes in his first over with the big wicket of Dhoni, who brings out the helicopter but doesn't get enough power on it and is caught at deep midwicket for 11.

Pune 58-5 (9 ovs) vs Delhi 205-4 | Scorecard

Rahul Tripathi drives Morris for a four to get off the mark in some style before he edges for another four past the slips. However, Morris gets revenge with the wicket of Tripathi who looks to pull but gets a top edge and is caught for 10.

The wickets keep tumbling for Pune. Du Plessis looks to ramp Nadeem over the keeper's head but gets an edge and is caught by wicketkeeper Pant for eight.

Cummins's extra pace gets him the key wicket of Stokes, who tries to pull a short ball but gets an under edge and is caught behind for two.

Pune in total shambles as they lose four wickets in successive overs to be reduced to 58 for five in nine overs with another 148 runs needed for victory from 11 overs.

Pune 38-2 (5 ovs) vs Delhi 205-4 | Scorecard

Delhi's dasher with the bat, Chris Morris comes into the attack. Agarwal steers the second ball fine on the off-side for a four before he plays two dot balls in a row and then takes two runs off the last ball.

Zaheer strikes again in his next over. Agarwal is foxed by the slower ball as he looks for a big hit but ends lobbing a simple catch to Morris on the off-side to leave Pune in trouble on 34 for two in the fifth over.

Faf du Plessis gets going with a boundary through the covers off the last ball of the over.

Interestingly, Delhi open the bowling with left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem. Ajinkya Rahane takes a single from the first ball to get off the mark and Mayank Agarwal picks one from the next ball.

Three balls later, Agarwal slaps a short ball through the covers for a four as 10 come from the first over.

Pat Cummins to bowl from the other end. He starts off with a good over, conceding just seven runs in his opening over, including a wide.

Zaheer Khan comes into the attack after just one over from Nadeem with the new ball. He strikes in his very first over with the wicket of Rahane, who looks for a big hit down the ground but fails to get the distance and is caught by Samson at mid-off.

Rahane dismissed for 10 as Pune are reduced to 24 for one in three overs.

Delhi 205-4 (20 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Stokes to bowl the final over. He switches to round the wicket as Anderson drives the first ball to long-on for one.

Stokes tries the slower ball but Morris reads it early as he flicks it over short fine leg for a four to race to 20 from four balls.

He lofts the next ball over midwicket for a couple as Dinda struggles to get to the ball from the boundary.

Morris then makes room and steers a full delivery past the point region for another four. He is proving to be unstoppable as he clips the fifth delivery from Stokes over midwicket for a six to race to 32 from eight balls.

The last ball is short and Morris pulls it over midwicket for a massive six as he finishes unbeaten on an entertaining innings of 38 from just nine balls.

Delhi hammer 76 runs from the last four overs to post a mighty 205 for four in their 20 overs, the highest total at this venue.

Delhi 182-4 (19 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Zampa to bowl the 19th over. Samson lofts the ball back over the bowler's head for a straight six to bring up his maiden century in T20 cricket in grand style, from just 61 balls.

This is also the first century in this year's IPL and it could not have at a better time for Delhi Daredevils.

However, Zampa gets revenge off the very next delivery as Samson looks to pull but fails to connect and is bowled. The Kerala youngster showed great maturity as he started with a flurry of boundaries before he settled down well in the middle overs and then cut loose in the final overs.

Chris Morris starts off in smashing fashion as he lofts Zampa over the covers for a four and gets a couple from the next ball. He swings the next ball over midwicket for a huge six and carts the last ball of the over for a four over the off-side.

Morris races to 16 from just four balls to help Delhi retain the momentum after Samson's dismissal.

Zampa was hit for 22 runs in his final over to finish with one for 45 in four overs.

Delhi 160-3 (18 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Corey Anderson, making his debut for Delhi, gets off the mark with a single. Samson looks to get things moving as he heaves Tahir over the leg side for a six and then picks two runs off the next followed by a single off the last ball.

Dinda comes back into the attack. Samson smashes the first ball straight back over the bowler's head for a six. The next ball is hit powerfully back as the fielder at long-off does well to save the boundary with a diving save and keep it down to just two runs.

Dinda bowls a bouncer which Samson avoids and he repeats it again but this time it is pulled over square leg for a six and take his score into the 90s. The next ball is a full toss and Samson sweeps it past short fine leg for a four before keeping strike with a single from the last ball as 19 come from the over.

Delhi 129-3 (16 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Pune's brilliance in the field helps them strike with the key wicket of Pant. The youngster looks to steal a quick single on the off-side but Mayank at point scores a direct hit from point to catch the batsman well short of his crease.

Pant is run out for 31 from 22 balls as Delhi are reduced to 124 for three in the 16th over.

Samson pulls the next ball for a four through fine leg but Stokes still ends up conceding just six runs in his third over, he has given just 17 in his three overs.

Delhi 123-2 (15 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Tahir comes back as Pune look to break this threatening stand, especially the dangerous Pant, who has already hit two sixes and a four in his 18-ball 29.

Samson has slowed down after a fiery start to be unbeaten on 48 from 38 balls, with the help of six fours.

Stokes comes back as Samson lofts it towards long-on where it falls short of the fielder but the single helps him bring up his fifty from 41 balls.

Zampa comes back as Pune decide to hold back Tahir's final over. Samson pulls the first ball through midwicket for two runs before he hits the next ball wide of long-off for another couple.

Three balls later he lofts Zampa for a straight six and then takes one as Delhi reach 123 for two in 15 overs.

Delhi 104-2 (12 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Medium pacer Rajat Bhatia comes into the attack. He also makes a tidy start giving away just five single as Pune continue to build the pressure.

Delhi have not hit a boundary for the last four overs as they reach 81 for two in 10 overs at the halfway stage.

Samson has slowed down after the dismissal of Billings, as he looks to pick the ones and twos without trying to take any risks.

Zampa comes back for a new spell, taking over from Tahir, who bowled an excellent first spell of one for eight in two overs.

Pant looks to break the shackles as he hammers Zampa straight down the ground through long-on for a four.

In the next over, he lofts Bhatia straight back over his head for a six. He repeats the shot a few deliveries later for the same result to take Pune past the 100-run mark.

16 runs from the over helps Delhi get back the momentum as they reach 104 for two in 12 overs.

Delhi 76-2 (9 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Billings joins the party as he swings Chahar across the line through midwicket for a four. He chips down the track and smashes the next ball through square leg for another four.

Chahar then drifts on the pads as Billings glances it fine to make it a hat-trick of fours. The next ball is again on the leg stump as Billing again flicks it but this time straight to the fielder at short fine leg for a single and Samson picks one off the last ball to take Delhi to 62 for one in six overs.

Pune introduce spin as Imran Tahir comes into the attack. He has a huge appeal for LBW turned down against Samson off the first ball as the bounce saves him. The next ball stays low as Billings looks to pull but gets an inside edge before he takes one.

He makes a good start, giving away just four runs, as his leg-spinning colleague Adam Zampa also comes in from the other end.

Billings picks a single from the first ball before Samson drives it through the off-side for a couple and then picks another two runs off the next delivery before he defends the rest of the over.

Tahir strikes in his next over with the wicket of Billings. The right-hander comes down the track but misses the slider completely and is bowled for 24.

Rishabh Pant throws his bat at the first delivery he faces, from Tahir, as it goes uppishly on the off-side but falls safely.

Delhi 47-1 (5 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Samson has come out firing on all cylinders. A short ball from Dinda is pulled through square leg for a four and he crashes the next through point for another boundary.

Billings slashes a wide delivery but gets an edge past the slip fielder for the third four of the over which costs Pune as many as 16 runs.

Samson looking quite positive as he drives Chahar through the covers for a couple and then hammers the next ball a bit squarer for another four as Delhi make a good recovery after the early wicket.

Ben Stokes comes into the attack. Another wide delivery is punched through the covers for a four by Samson, who has looked in red hot form.

Delhi have raced to 47 for one in five overs with Samson smashing 34 from 18 balls, while Billings has made eight.

Delhi 13-1 (2 ovs) vs Pune | Scorecard

Sam Billings to open the batting for Delhi along with Aditya Tare, while Ashok Dinda will bowl the first over for Pune.

Tare is beaten by the third ball as Dinda gets some away movement before the pacer bowls a wide to get Delhi off the mark.

Tare picks a leg bye before Billings defends the next two balls as just two runs come from the first over.

Deepak Chahar strikes with the first delivery of his first over. Tare hangs his bat out and gets an edge to be caught behind for a duck.

Sanju Samson comes in at No. 3. He gets a leg bye off the first ball he faces before Billings takes a single to get off the mark.

Samson then takes full toll of some width from Chahar, hitting two successive boundaries before keeping strike with a single from the last ball.

Welcome to the coverage of the ninth match of the Indian Premier League between Rising Pune Supergiant and Delhi Daredevils in Pune on Tuesday.

The big news is that captain Steve Smith has been ruled out with a 'bad stomach' with Ajinkya Rahane leading the team in his absence.

He has won the toss and has no hesitation in electing to bowl. Faf du Plessis gets his first match of IPL10 as he comes in to replace Smith.

Manoj Tiwary, who father passed away today, has gone back home as he also misses out with Rahul Tripathi taking his place. Pune add a spinner to their line-up as Adam Zampa comes in for Dan Christian.

Interestingly, Pune have never won a match batting first.

Meanwhile, Delhi make one change with Corey Anderson replacing Carlos Brathwaite.
