Tripathi falls for 23-ball 38, Pune lose 1st wicket

After a good first over, Narine suffers at the hands of the dashing Tripathi in his second, who hits him for three fours, in the sixth over.

He slices the second ball over the off-side for a four before slogging the last two balls of the over for the same result to get 15 runs from the over.

Pune have made a good start as they race to 57 for no loss in six overs with Tripathi leading the charge on 35 from 18 balls, while Rahane has played second fiddle on 19 from the same number of deliveries.

New Zealand all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme comes into the attack. Tripathi looks to have it on the leg side but miscues it towards mid-on as Yusuf Pathan who runs back from midwicket but is unable to hold on to a simple catch.

It has been a good start as he gives away just five runs in his opening over.

Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla strikes in his first over. He makes the first breakthrough with the wicket of Tripathi, who looks to cut but ends up dragging it back on to his stumps.

Tripathi has once again given Pune a good start as he slammed a quickfire 38 from 23 balls, having hit seven fours.

A superb start from Chawla, who concedes just three runs, while picking up the first wicket for KKR.

Smith has a close shave in the next over as he goes for a close second run and has to dive in the end to make his crease. The last ball is a full toss as Smith flips de Grandhomme through midwicket for his first boundary.
