TEA BREAK - DAY 1

India 235-3 (57 ovs) vs SL | Scorecard

India go into the tea break on 238 for three in 58 overs, having scored 134 runs in 29 overs in the post-lunch session.

Sri Lanka started strongly with the wickets of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli before Rahane and Pujara's aggressive partnership turned the tide back in India's favour.

Pujara hit a solid 89 from 140 balls to inch closer to his second century in as many matches. Rahane hit a fluent 41 as the duo put on a quick stand of 105 runs from 115 balls for the fourth wicket to put India in control.

Earlier, Rahul was unfortunately run out for 57 after a mix up with Pujara, while Kohli was caught at slip off Herath after scoring just 13.

Sri Lanka's bowlers were poor and bowled a lot of loose deliveries as India managed to score at over four runs per over.
