LUNCH - DAY 1

India 101-1 (28 ovs) vs SL | Scorecard

A good innings from KL Rahul on his comeback as he hit a fluent 52 from 73 balls to guide India to 101 for one in 28 overs at the lunch break on Day 1.

Electing to bat, India made a fiery start as the openers raced to the 50-run mark.

The in-form Shikhar Dhawan stroked his way to 35 from 37 balls, before he was trapped leg before wicket by Dilruwan Perera.

Pujara, who hit a century in the first match, adopted a cautious approach and was unbeaten on 14 from 58 balls at the break.

Earlier, Rahul was drafted back into the Indian team in place of Abhinav Mukund.

Sri Lanka went into the match with three spinners, while fielding just one pace bowler on a pitch which looks quite dry and is already giving the spinners some assistance.
