SL 82-4 (42 ovs) 135 vs India 487 | Scorecard

A rest for Ashwin finally after a long spell of 11 overs on Day 3 as he makes way for medium pacer Hardik Pandya, who gives away two singles in his first over.

Double bowling change as Kuldeep comes in for Umesh and he starts his new spell with a maiden over to Mathews.

Infact, it turns out to be a change of ends for Umesh as Pandya is taken off after just one over.

Kuldeep beats Mathews with one that turns in and hits him on the pads but the leg before wicket appeal is turned down.

Umesh attempts a short ball as Chandimal pulls it behind square on the leg side for a four.

This has been a good partnership for Sri Lanka under the circumstances as they have managed to stem the fall of the wickets and steadied the ship somewhat.

Umesh to bowl the final over of the session. Chandimal is nearly squared up as he tries to play it on the leg side but gets a thick edge for a single to the covers.

Sri Lanka go into the lunch break at 82 for four in 42 overs, still needing another 270 runs to avoid the follow-on.
