STUMPS - DAY 2

B'desh 41-1 (14 ovs) vs India 687-6d | Scorecard

Kohli decides to continue with Ishant and Bhuvneshwar as Umesh waits for his turn with the new ball.

Bhuvi bowls another maiden but runs keep coming from the other end. Sarkar turns Ishant on the leg side for one and Tamim also hits the next ball through the same region for a couple.

Bangladesh reach 37 for no loss in 10 overs before Kohli brings in Ravichandran Ashwin into the attack ahead of Ishant.

Sarkar defends the first four balls before a leg bye off the fifth gets him off the strike and Tamim defends the last ball on the off-side.

Finally, Umesh gets the ball, to bowl the 12th over of the day, which completes 90 overs for the day but India have time to send down another couple.

Umesh gets one to rip through Sarkar who is beaten off the inside edge of the bat as Saha takes a diving catch to his right. The Indians go up in appeal for the catch which the umpire turns down but is referred to the DRS.

The Ultra Edge shows there is a fine edge as the ball passes the bat and umpire Rod Tucker has to over turn his decision.

Another left-hander Mominul Haque comes in at No. 3. The first ball is a full toss which he gently defends on the off-side and he is beaten two balls later outside the off-stump.

The last ball is short and on the body which Haque fends awkwardly off his gloves on the leg side and is lucky that it fell safely away from short leg.

Ashwin rushes through his second over as Tamim blocks the first five balls before keeping strike with one from the last ball.

Umesh to bowl the final over of the day. He is getting it to reverse as Tamim chases a wide delivery and is lucky not to have edged it as it goes past the edge of the bat. Top class bowling from Umesh.

He then bowls a good yorker as Tamim manages to keep it out before he takes one from the fifth ball and Haque gets a single off the last ball to get off the mark off the last ball of the day.
