India 493-4 (124 ovs) vs B'desh | Scorecard

Bangladesh's best bowler, Taijul, to resume proceedings after the lunch interval. Kohli starts off with an easy single on the off-side before Saha gets an edge and picks up two runs to thirdman followed by one.

Kohli then steers it fine for another couple of runs before keeping strike with a single from the last ball to take his score to 195.

Mehedi Hasan comes on from the other end. Kohli whips the first ball to deep midwicket for a single to inch closer to his double hundred.

Saha is happy to turn the strike back to Kohli as he pinches another single on the off-side.

Kohli again rocks back and steers it fine on the off-side for two runs to take his score to 198.

He turns the last ball of the over on the leg side for a single to keep strike with just a run away from the milestone.

Koli gets to the double century in rather streaky fashion as he throws his bat at a wide one from Taijul only to miscue it on the off-side but it clears the field and goes for a boundary.

Kohli creates a world record as the only batsman in Test history to hit four double centuries in four successive series.

He also goes past the legendary Don Bradman and former team mate Rahul Dravid, both of whom had hit three double centuries in three successive series.

He gets to the double century from 244 balls, hitting 24 fours in all.
