LUNCH - DAY 1

Aus 84-1 (33 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

A good first session for the Australians as they lost just one wicket on a pitch offering a lot of assistance to the spinners so early into the game.

Warner and Renshaw gave the visitors a good start with a 82-run opening stand before the former was bowled by Umesh for 38.

Warner, on 20, enjoyed a bit of luck as he bowled off a no-ball as Jayant Yadav overstepped in the 20th over.

Renshaw, after a good innings of 36, had to unfortunately retire with illness after suffering from a stomach bug.

Smith and Marsh were unbeaten on one each at the break in a session which went Australia's way courtesy of their openers, who did well to keep the Indian spinners at bay.

Ashwin bowled 16 overs for 23 runs, as he toiled hard and beat the bat countless number of times and was unlucky not get a wicket.

India would be hoping that luck turns their way in the post-lunch session and they manage to claim a few wickets to check Australia's progress.
