TEA - DAY 1

Aus 153-4 (63 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

If Australia did well in the morning session, India staged a good comeback in the post-lunch session to reduce Australia to 153 for four with two late wickets close to the break.

Overall, 30 overs were bowled after lunch in which India claimed three wickets for 69 runs.

At one stage, Australia were looking good on 119 for one before Marsh, Handscomb and Smith perished in the space of nearly 13 overs to hand back the initiative to India.

The wicket of Smith would prove to be crucial for India as the Australia captain is a good player of spin and is capable of the playing the big innings.

The wicket is getting more and more difficult for batting with the spinners having a ball, getting a lot of turn and bounce.

India would be hoping to claim a few quick wickets after the tea break and look to bowl out Australia as soon as possible.
