Welcome to the coverage of first One-Day International between India and England in Pune, on Sunday.

A new era in Indian cricket begins as Virat Kohli takes charge of the limited overs team, taking over Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who gave up the captaincy and will play as a wicketkeeper-batsman in the three-match ODI and T20I series against England.

Captain Kohli will be hoping India can carry on their momentum from their crushing 4-0 victory against England in the Tests.

Desperate for some experience in the middle order, India brought back veteran Yuvraj Singh, who made his comeback to the ODI team after more than three years.

The hosts will again start as the favourites with spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja back in the ODI line-up after missing the series against New Zealand.

It will be interesting to see how India pack up their middle order also comprising of Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav. KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan are expected to open the innings and Hardik Pandya playing the all-rounder's role.

Kohli faces a tough choice to pick from the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, all of whom have done well in ODIs.
