England 199-3 (34 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Interestingly, Dhoni asked the DRS straightaway without even consulting captain Kohli, but then he knew that Morgan had got the edge.

Jos Buttler walks in at No. 5 and he will look to get along with things rightaway with a long batting order to follow.

With a new batsman out in the middle, Kohli brings back Jadeja, who nearly bowls a good over before Root reverse paddles the last ball for a four past short thirdman.

Buttler taking no time to warm up as he walks across his stumps and hits a full delivery from Pandya through midwicket for a four.

Jadeja bowls a superb over, giving away just one run as he sends down a super quick over as England reach 171 for three in 30 overs.

A few quiet overs from Jadeja and Pandya in tandem as India look to build up some pressure by drying up the boundaries.

Buttler breaks the shackles as he hits Jadeja over the off-side for a six.

In the next over, Root takes a couple of runs to bring up his fifty, from 72 balls. He has taken his time but he would look to hold one end up and allow the stroke makers to cut loose from the other end.

This time Root goes after Jadeja, slog sweeping him over midwicket for a six as England reach 199 for three in 34 overs.

With 16 overs remaining and a lot of batting left, England look on course for a total around the 325-run mark.
