England 228-7 (50 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

India bowlers have done well to keep England down to 228 for 7 in their 50 overs.

England will however feel they haven't done much after winning the toss and electing to bat.

Another than Taylor and Sciver, no other England batter could face the challenge posed by Goswami and Co.

India now have to bat responsibly if they have to have their hands on that elusive World Cup trophy.

Deepti Sharma given the responsibility to bowl the last over.

She is bowling round the wicket and the batters have to make do with just the singles and twos.

Deepti gives just 7 runs off the last over.

6 singles off the penultimate over and England will have to go all out in the last over to get anywhere close to the challenging 240-mark.

Gayakwad continues and she is stifling the England batters here.

Another tight run by England and Gunn makes it in time.

Shikha Pandey comes back into the attack.

Pandey has not been too impressive today and is slogged by Gunn for a four off the first ball of the over.

Marsh then takes a cheeky single.

Pandey bowls a waist-high full toss and Gunn gets two and a free-hit for England.

Gunn can't make the most of the free hit but Marsh gets a lovely boundary on the offside to finish the over with 14 runs.

This over could well be the difference eventually in the match as Pandey has been the least impressive of the Indian bowlers.

It's now up to India to clean up England's tail and ensure the total does not reach too high.

Gayakwad gives 5 runs off the over and the 200 comes up for England.

Shikha Pandey continues but Deepti Sharma gets in the direct hit to send Brunt back to the pavillion.

England lose their 8th wicket.
