Aus 246-6 (110 ovs) vs India 189 | Scorecard

It is overcast in Bengaluru as Ishant Sharma gets the first ball to kick up from length as Matthew Wade blocks it uncomfortably as he is hit on the gloves. A few deliveries later, Ishant beats Wade with one which moves away just enough to go past the edge and he defends the last ball on the off-side.

It is Ashwin who starts from the other end. He is bowling way outside the leg stump to Starc, who lets it go between his legs and even wicketkeeper Saha misses it to give away four byes and he sweeps the next ball to fine leg for one.

Ashwin needs the ball to turn big if he has to be effective from this line outside the leg stump else he becomes easy for the batsmen to deal with.

Starc clips Ishant from the stumps through midwicket for three runs before Wade defends the rest of the over.

Starc tries to heave Ashwin over midwicket but can't connect with the slog sweep as the ball turns and bounces. He looks to sweep two balls later but can't connect again before he takes a single off the last ball.
