Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb hit half-centuries to steer Australia to 200 for six as the third Test finished in a draw. The series-deciding final Test will be start in Dharamsala from Saturday.

Australia batted on bravely on the final day, playing out nearly 100 overs to deny India a victory after they had taken a 152-run first innings lead.

The young Handscomb in his first tour of India stood out with his temperament as he finished unbeaten on 72, having played out 200 deliveries. His partnership with Marsh (53) was crucial in helping Australia save the match as the duo played out 62.1 overs during their 124-run fourth wicket partnership.

Australia didn't lose a single during the post-lunch session which eventually played a huge role in the visitors saving the match.

Jadeja was India's star with the ball as he finished with four for 54 in 44 overs, for a total of nine wickets in the match, while Ashwin managed just a wicket each in the two innings.

The series-deciding fourth and final Test will start in Dharamsala from Saturday.
