Aus 63-3 (29 ovs) & 451 vs India 603-9d | Scorecard

Ishant not able to build the pressure from his end as he leaks runs. Renshaw turns the fourth ball on the leg side for a single before Ishant oversteps to give away a four.

He then bowls a full delivery on the stumps which Smith flicks through midwicket for a four.

Jadeja gets one to bounce big from the rough as the ball beats Renshaw who is looking to defend but it turns sharply and goes past the batsman and the wicketkeeper for a four. On another day, Renshaw might have well gloved it and caught at short leg or silly point but he has luck on his side on that occasion.

In his next over, Jadeja bowls a beauty to Smith, who defends from the crease but sees the ball spin the outside edge but he manages to see off the over.

Ishant strikes with the wicket of Renshaw who plays back to a full delivery which stays low and the umpire has no hesitation in giving him out leg before wicket. He consults his skipper Steve Smith, who is not in favour of taking the DRS review as Australia lose their first wicket of the day.

Renshaw played a patient innings of 15 from 84 balls but some drama ahead earlier in the over seems to have disrupted his rhythm. He backed off very late when Ishant was about to deliver resulting in some exchange of words before the India fast bowler pushed him back with a couple of short balls.

And Renshaw expecting another short ball played back to a full delivery but missed a straight one which kept low, catching him right in front of the stumps.

New batsman Shaun Marsh edged the first ball he faced past the slips for a four before he was hit on the body by a short ball.
