LUNCH - DAY 5

Aus 83-4 (36 ovs) & 451 vs India 603-9d | Scorecard

A good session for the Indians as they managed to dismiss both the overnight batsmen -- Smith and Renshaw -- to reduce Australia to 83 for four in 36 overs, needing another 69 runs to avoid the innings defeat.

Ishant did well to set up Renshaw leg before wicket for 15, while Smith suffered a rare failure against India to be bowled by Jadeja for 21.

India did well to dry up the runs in the morning session as just 60 runs came in 28.4 overs, while picking up two wickets to keep themselves in a good position to push for victory.

Marsh was unbeaten on 15 and Handscomb on four at the lunch interval with a minimum of 62 overs left in the day.

Jadeja, who bowled non-stop through the morning session, was once the pick of the Indian bowlers as he took three for 22 in a miserly spell of 18 overs, while Ishant took one for 22 in seven overs.
