India 317-7 (113 ovs) vs Aus 300 | Scorecard

Part-time off-spinner Glenn Maxwell comes into the attack, replacing Hazlewood. India continue to keep the scoreboard moving as they pick three easy singles in the over.

Change in the bowling as pacer Cummins comes back into the attack. The first ball is a quick bouncer as Jadeja looks to pull but misses and is hit on the helmet.

The next ball is again short as Jadeja lets it go this time around. Cummins is becoming a bit too predictable as he sends down another short ball and this time Jadeja is waiting for it as he pulls it over midwicket for a four.

Another quick bouncer as Jadeja crashes it over fine leg, that was not entirely convincing but he manages to get it over the fence for a six.

Australia immediately go on the defensive as Cummins resorts to bowling a bit fuller and outside the off-stump and Jadeja is happy to defend.

Maxwell continues as India pick another couple of singles from the over to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Cummins finally makes the first breakthrough for Australia on the third day with the key wicket of Jadeja. The left-hander tries to drive it on the up through the off-side but gets an inside edge to be bowled after a fine innings of 63.

Jadeja was instrumental in helping India take the lead, as he hit four sixes and four boundaries in his 95-ball knock, while he added 96 runs for the seventh wicket with Saha.

New batsman Bhuvneshwar Kumar confidently defends the rest of the over, blocking the full deliveries while ducking under a bouncer.
