India 279-6 (100 ovs) vs Aus 300 | Scorecard

Saha has once again shown great discipline and temperament to grind it out in the middle. The wicketkeeper-batsman has played more than 50 balls and is content to play second fiddle to Jadeja, who has been the one looking for runs.

Cummins tries a bouncer and Saha easily ducks under it before he steers a wide delivery past point for two runs. He then pokes his bat at a wide delivery but is beaten before he defends the last ball.

Jadeja doing well to keep the scoreboard ticking. He taps Hazlewood to the left of thirdman and rushes back for the second despite Glenn Maxwell patrolling the boundary. There is a huge appeal for LBW off the last ball but the ball has pitched outside the leg stump as Jadeja shuffled across to turn it on the leg side and was struck in line.

India are 260 for six in 90 overs, trailing Australia by 40 runs, who make their first bowling change of the day as off-spinner Nathan Lyon comes into the attack.

After three singles from the first three balls, Jadeja lofts the last ball of Lyon's over straight down the ground for his third six of the innings, to take his score to 29.

In the next over, Saha steers Cummins wide of thirdman for two runs to get his 1000 runs in Test cricket. That also brings up the 50-run stand for the seventh wicket as India start to inch closer to the 300-run mark.

Cummins overpitches as Jadeja steers through point and comes back for three. Saha gets a thick outside edge off the last ball which goes past the gully fielder for a four.

10 runs from the over takes India to 279 for six in 100 overs, as the deficit goes down to just 21 runs.

Jadeja has stroked his way to 33, while Saha has made 23 with the duo putting on 58 runs so far for the seventh wicket.
