India 156-7 (20 ovs) vs NZ 196-2 | Scorecard

Colin Munro blasted a 58-ball 109 not out to power New Zealand to a crushing 40-run victory against India which helped them level the three-match series in Rajkot on Saturday.

Electing to bat, New Zealand amassed a huge 196 for two in 20 overs courtesy of Munro's blazing innings.

With the bat, India were never in the hunt after the openers Shikhar Dhawan (1) and Rohit Sharma (5) were dismissed early by Trent Boult.

Boult claimed four for 34 as India finished on a disappointing 156 for seven in their 20 overs on a good batting wicket.

Captain Virat Kohli waged a lone battle with the bat, hitting a quickfire 65 from 42 balls but he found no support from the other end as India came up with a poor batting display.

The third and final T20 match will be played in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, November 7.
