India 229-4 (60 ovs) & 172 vs SL 294 | Scorecard

A surprise move from India as Ravindra Jadeja walks in at No. 6 ahead of Ashwin and Saha.

Are India looking to attack the Sri Lankans through Jadeja? Or are they looking to give the left-hander some batting practice?

Lakmal produces another good delivery to beat Jadeja but the leg before appeal is turned down. Jadeja is up against a good spell by Sri Lanka's pacers and so far he can only defend.

Gamage tries a short ball to Kohli, who pulls it to deep square leg for a single and Kohli clips the last ball to fine leg for one.

Shanaka comes back into the attack, replacing Lakmal, who bowled a superb eight over spell, claiming two wickets.

He starts with a short ball which Jadeja pulls to deep square leg for a single.

Kohli then hits a splendid boundary as he drives Shanaka on the up through the covers to swell the lead to 100.

There is an appeal for catch down the leg side against Jadeja but the umpire turns it down.

Sri Lanka's pacers using the short ball quite a lot against Kohli. The India captain pulls a bouncer from Gamage down to square leg for one and Jadeja taps the last ball to point for the same result after some initial hesitation.

Jadeja flicks Shanaka behind square and wants to come back for two but Kohli turns it down with a loud no. Kohli then taps the next ball to thirdman and charges back for the second after a misfield from Lakmal.

Kohli shuffles across and looks to flick Shanaka on the leg side but gets a leading edge which falls safely on the off-side.

A long spell for Gamage as he bowls his 10th over on the trot. He bowls a maiden to Jadeja as India reach 229 for four in 60 overs for a lead of 107 runs.
