SL 8-2 (7 ovs); Target to win: 231 | Scorecard

Sri Lanka are struggling on eight for two in seven overs at tea break on the fifth and final day, with Mathews on five and Thirimanne on two.

They are chasing 231 for victory after India declared their second innings on 352 for eight.

Captain Virat Kohli led from the front with a sparkling innings of 104 not out. He brought up his 18th Test century with a six before India declared their innings immediately on him achieving the landmark.

Pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami claimed a wicket each, that of the openers to raise India's hopes of pushing for victory.

With light expected to fade later in the evening, India could possibly bowl another 20-25 overs in the post-tea session. If Sri Lanka don't lose a wicket or two quickly after the tea break, then it would brighten their chances of drawing the game.
