Just one over for Herath with the new ball before Lakmal comes into the attack. He starts with one way down the leg side as Kohli looks for the flick fine on the leg side but misses.

Pujara also gets a leg stump half-volley which he clips square for a four to inch closer to his century.

Kohli taps Gamage on the off-side and sets off for a quick run but gets three more runs courtesy of the overthrow as he makes Pujara sprint for the fourth run.

Pujara steers Shanaka on the off-side for two runs to complete his century, from 246 balls. It was not easy going for Pujara as he had to work really hard for his runs but he was ready to show patience and gradually wore out the Sri Lankans bowlers.

Pujara continues his golden run in Tests in 2017, having already scored more than 1000 runs in the year so far.
