Murali Vijay celebrated his return to the India side with a hundred, while Cheteshwar Pujara continued his golden run with another century as India dominated the second day against Sri Lanka in Nagpur on Saturday.

Pujara was unbeaten on 121, while captain Virat Kohli made 54 not out as India finished the day on 312 for two in 98 overs, for an overall lead of 107 runs.

Vijay, included in the side in place of Shikhar Dhawan, made most of the opportunity with a cracking innings of 128 before he was dismissed by Rangana Herath and was the only wicket to fall on Day 2.

The duo took time to get going in the morning session before they put together a huge partnership of 209 runs.

Kohli's arrival lifted the tempo as he added 96 runs for the third wicket with Pujara as India built a lead of over 100 by stumps.
