India 136-1 (54 ovs) vs SL 205 | Scorecard

Vijay has had enough of the defending as he breaks the shackles by hitting Herath for a six over long-off. The field is pushed back and Vijay sensibly hits the next ball to long-on for one.

Pujara is not getting the boundaries but is keen to keep the scoreboard ticking with regular singles.

Lakmal getting the ball to reverse as Vijay gets it off the inside half of the bat on the leg side for one.

Off-spinner Perera comes into the attack in place of Herath. He starts with a full toss which Vijay can't make most of and hits it to deep midwicket for one followed by two more singles.

Lakmal getting the ball to shape in but his pace will hardly bother the batsmen despite the reverse swing.

Vijay turns the first ball on the leg side for one and Pujara glances it fine for two runs, who then slaps a half-volley through the covers for a four.

Pujara is keen to complete his half-century as he looks to run a wide delivery down to thirdman but is beaten. He completes his fifty off the last ball with a single on the leg side.

India reach 136 for one in 54 overs, trailing Sri Lanka by 69 runs, with Vijay on 78 and Pujara on 50.
