India 173-1 (61 ovs) vs SL 205 | Scorecard

India looking to be positive against Perera and not let him settle down. Three singles from the first four balls before Vijay reverse sweeps the off-spinner fine on the off-side for a four and then takes a single to get eight from the over.

Another part-timer as Shanaka replaces Lakmal as Sri Lanka look completely clueless with the ball at the moment and are just hoping for a mistake from the batsmen to make a breakthrough.

Shanaka starts with a wide delivery which Vijay steers square on the off-side for a couple and then guides the next ball fine for a four to take his score into the 90s.

A couple of singles make it eight from the over, as 24 come from the last three overs with India lifting the tempo.

The boundaries are coming quite regularly off Perera as Pujara sweeps him fine for a four.

Shanaka beats Vijay outside the off-stump and out of nowhere Sri Lanka take the DRS for caught behind though wicketkeeper Dickwella is not concerned. And it turns out to be a poor review as the ball had missed the bat as confirmed by the Snickometer.

Vijay clips the next ball on the leg side for two runs and then picks one to inch closer to his century.

The duo continue to milk Perera, taking four easy singles as the scoreboard continues to tick along.

Vijay seems in no rush as he taps Perera on the off-side to complete his century from 187 balls. What a comeback from the right-hander as he brings up his 10th century in Test cricket.

India continue to be in control as they reach 173 for one in 61 overs, trailing Sri Lanka by 32 runs.
