India 42-1 (20 ovs) vs SL 205 | Scorecard

Pujara clips a full delivery from Lakmal through midwicket for a four as India make a good start on the second day.

Vijay (19) gets a lifeline, infact two in a single delivery. He comes down the track to Herath but gets an inside edge which is dropped by the fielder at short leg who barely has time to react but manages to get his hands on it however he is unable to hold on. He then shows quick reaction to try and flick the ball on to the stumps with Vijay out of his crease but misses the stumps.

Vijay then punches the next ball to mid-on and scampers across for a quick single and Pujara picks another run in the over.

Gamage comes back as Lakmal is given a break but there is no troubling the Indian batsmen as Pujara and Vijay pick a single each.

Sri Lanka will look to Herath to hold one end up and build the pressure but the bowlers at the other end will need to create some wicket-taking opportunities.

It seems too easy for the two Indian batsmen at the moment as they reach 42 for one in 20 overs with Vijay on 21 and Pujara on 13.
