India 590-5 (172 ovs) vs SL 205 | Scorecard

Kohli gives Gamage the charge and hammers the pacer through the off-side for a four. He is looking to play a few more shots as 10 come from the over.

In the next over,  Kohli reverse sweeps Perera for a boundary through thirdman. He comes down the track and looks for a big hit down the ground but mishits it straight into the hands of the fielder at long-on.

Kohli walks back after a splendid innings of 213 from 267 balls, having hit 17 fours and two sixes.

New batsman Ravichandran Ashwin has a couple of close run out calls early in his innings as the fielders miss the stumps both times.

India are 590 for five in 172 overs at the final drinks break, having stretched their lead to 385 runs.

Rohit is on course for his century, having stroked his way to 85, while Ashwin is on three.

The Indian players are all in their whites which means that India could declare soon and have a few overs at the Sri Lankan players before stumps.
