SL 53-3 (21 ovs) vs India 610-6 | Scorecard

Ishant gets a break after a good probing spell first up on Day 4. He makes way for Umesh Yadav, who starts with a few deliveries on the pads as Thirimanne turns it square for two runs and then takes one.

Umesh then gets it right against right-hander Angelo Mathews as he gets one to move away late, beating the batsman, who has a casual poke. He looks to flick the last ball but misses and survives the shout for leg before.

In the next over, Thirimanne steers Jadeja past the slips for three runs before Mathews clubs the last ball over mid-on for a six.

Umesh strikes in the next over. Infact, Thirimanne literally gifts his wicket away as he throws his bat at a wide delivery and ends up steering it straight into the hands of Jadeja at point. The Sri Lankan dressing room are completely in shock in the manner of the dismissal as Thirimanne walks back for 23 with Sri Lanka reduced to 48 for three, still needing another 357 runs to avoid the innings defeat.

Dinesh Chandimal flicks the last ball over square leg to get off the mark with a boundary.
