India 233-5 (45 ovs) vs NZ | Scorecard

Boult comes back and he strikes with the key wicket of Dhoni, who is caught at point after a sedate innings of 25 from 42 balls.

A wicket at the wrong time for India and that too of the dangerous Dhoni, who took time to get his eye in but could not stay till end and do damage with the bat.

This is a big blow for India under the circumstances and increases the pressure further on captain Kohli, who is batting on 86.

Kohli picks a quick single off Santner before the spinner bowls a leg side wide to new batsman Hardik Pandya, who is then beaten by one that turns and he defends the rest of the over.

Kohli enjoys a huge slice of luck as he looks to drive Southee but gets a thick inside edge which misses the stumps and goes fine on the leg side for a four.

He then plays another streaky shot as he tries to pull but gets a top edge and gets a four behind the stumps to take his score to 96.

Pandya has had enough of the defending as he launches a full delivery from Santner over long-on for a six. He comes down the track and tries the inside out lofted shot but fails to make proper connection as it goes on the bounce to sweeper cover for one.

Kohli takes a single followed by a wide as Santner goes for 11 runs in the over.

In the next over, Kohli takes a single off Southee to bring up his century from 111 balls to mark his landmark 200th ODI with a hundred.

Pandya gets two runs off the next ball on the leg side before he heaves Southee over midwicket for a four as India look to take the attacking route.

India are 233 for five in 45 overs with Kohli on 100 and Pandya on 16.
