India 127-3 (25 ovs) vs NZ | Scorecard

New Zealand struggling to find someone to complete their fifth bowler's quota as de Grandhomme gives away 27 in his four overs.

That forces Kiwi captain to bring in another part-time medium pacer in Colin Munro. He starts with a loosener, short and wide which Karthik smashes through the off-side for a four to take India past the 100-run mark, in the 22nd over.

Milne, who bowled just three overs in his first spell, comes back for a new spell. Karthik and Kohli playing sensibly as they take a lot of singles and keep the scoreboard ticking in the middle overs.

The Indian duo pick five runs each off Milne and then Munro in back to back over as runs continue to flow.

Milne attempts a short ball to Kohli, who pulls it over fine leg for a six with the ball boy taking a spectacular catch after the ball crosses the ropes and deservedly gets a huge applause from the crowd.

Two balls later he punches a straight ball down the ground for a four to bring up his half-century, from 62 balls. After a not so good time with the bat against Australia, Kohli has finally come good with the bat for India at a crucial time with his team in a desperate situation.

At the halfway stage, India have recovered to 127 for three with Kohli on 52 and Karthik on 27.
