NZ 17-0 (3 ovs) vs India 280-8 | Scorecard

Martin Guptill to open the batting for New Zealand along with the dangerous Colin Munro.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar starts off with the ball for India. Guptill makes a confident start as he drives the second ball straight down the ground for a four to get off the mark in some style. He gets a leading edge off the next ball which goes past the fielder at mid-on for another boundary before he defends the rest of the over as eight come from it.

Jasprit Bumrah from the other end. He beats left-hander Munro with the first delivery, getting the ball to move away and beat the edge of the bat. The next ball strikes him on the pads but the LBW appeal is turned down. Two balls later, Munro gets an edge but it falls short of the slips and gets him a single before Guptill defends the last two balls to end an excellent first over from Bumrah.

Munro on the attack as he walks across and flicks Bhuvneshwar over fine leg region for a six. He nearly gets revenge as he beats Munro outside the off-stump before he pulls the fifth ball for a single before the bowlers bowls a wide to Guptill.
