India 145-3 (30 ovs) vs NZ 230-9 | Scorecard

Karthik hits a wide delivery from de Grandhomme past point for a four as he also quite settled and comfortable out in the middle.

A desperate New Zealand bring back Santner, who gives three singles from the first three balls before Dhawan looks to clip it on the leg side but it goes uppishly but on the bounce to the fielder. He then comes down but can only defend before he defends the last ball.

Southee comes back from the other end. Dhawan smashes the third ball straight down the ground for a six to get the supporters back into life after a few quiet overs.

The New Zealand bowlers struggling to make any sort of impression as both Dhawan and Karthik collect runs with considerable ease.

Milne comes back and strikes with the key wicket of Dhawan, who comes down but hits it straight to Taylor in the covers.

Dhawan walks back after a good innings of 68 as India are reduced to 145 for three in the 30th over.

Interestingly, India promote Hardik Pandya to No. 5 ahead of Kedar Jadhav and Mahendra Singh Dhoni and he walks out to a huge cheer from the Pune crowd.

Pandya plays out the remaining three deliveries as Milne sends down a wicket-maiden.

After 30 overs, India reach 145 for three with 86 needed from 20 overs for victory.
