India 232-4 (46 ovs) vs NZ 230-9 | Scorecard

Santner gives New Zealand some hope with the wicket of Pandya, who looks to sweep it fine but ends up giving a simple catch to Milne at short fine leg. He had premeditated the sweep and unfortunately for him he was too early into the shot and ended up hitting a full toss straight to the fielder.

Pandya walks back after scoring 30 from 31 balls but India in no danger at all.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni walks in at No. 6 ahead of local boy Jadhav, who has been pushed down to No. 7.

Dhoni gets off the mark with a single to long-off and Karthik steers the fourth ball through thirdman for two.

With two overs in hand, Boult comes back for his final spell with India needing 24 runs from nine overs for victory.

Boult bowls four dot balls in a row to Dhoni before he overpitches and the former captain flicks it through midwicket for a four.

Santner to bowl his final over. He starts with a beauty as Karthik comes forward to defend but is beaten by the turn which sees the ball go past the edge.

Two singles before Karthik takes two from the last ball to get four from the over as Santner finishes with one for 38 in 10 overs.

Dhoni looks for the big hit on the leg side but mishits the heave which goes in the gap through midwicket for a four. The next ball is hit off the middle as he punches it through the covers for a stylish boundary and then takes one to bring the target down to seven, from six overs.

Milne comes back as Dhoni looks in no hurry, by playing four dot balls and then takes a quick single on the leg side as just a single comes from the over.

Dhoni easily collects another single off Southee in the next over before Karthik takes a leg bye.

Dhoni drives a full delivery down to long-on for another single before Karthik crashes the next through the covers to take India to an easy victory, with four overs to spare.
