Karthik, Dhawan lift India to easy victory

Half-centuries from Dinesh Karthik and Shikhar Dhawan helped India cruise to an emphatic six-wicket victory and level the three-match series at 1-1.

Karthik finished unbeaten on 64, while Dhawan stroked 68 as India cruised to 232 for four in 46 overs, to win with four overs to spare in the second ODI in Pune.

Earlier, Courtesy of a fine showing from their bowlers, India managed to restrict New Zealand to 230 for nine in their 50 overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar led India's superb performance with the ball as he picked up three for 45, while Jasprit Bumra and Yuzvendra Chahal bagged two wickets each.

Axar Patel, who replaced Kuldeep Yadav, had a good outing with the ball as he took one for 54.
