NZ 149-5 (31 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Latham reverse paddles the last ball fine on the off-side for two runs as New Zealand cross the 100-run mark, in the 26th over.

Nicholls sweeps the second ball from Chahal through midwicket for a couple before Latham plays the same shot two balls later for one and reverses the last ball for two runs past Dhoni.

A single to Nicholls off Axar raises the 50-run stand for the fifth wicket before the left-hander cuts the fourth ball past point for a four. He turns the fifth ball through midwicket for a couple and then takes a single on the off-side.

The run rate has been good for New Zealand in the last few overs, with 37 runs from the last 38 balls as the two left-handers deal with the spinners quite well.

Latham sweeps Chahal but fails to find the gap as Axar does well to dive forward and stop it on the bounce as just two come from the over.

Axar makes the breakthrough as he bowls Latham from round his legs as he goes across too far and tries the sweep but misses and loses his wicket after scoring 38 from 62 balls.

The sweep shot which New Zealand used successfully so far finally caused Latham's downfall as he went across too far.

New batsman Colin de Grandhomme defends the remaining five deliveries as Axar bowls a wicket-maiden.

In the next over, Chahal has a muted appeal for leg before wicket against Nicholls which the umpire is not interested in. However, the replays show it is much closer than what we saw real time, maybe India could have reviewed.

Nicholls struggles to get off strike as Chahal bowls a maiden, the second successive maiden over.

The pressure keeps building as the number of dot balls keep going up. De Grandhomme avoids the third successive maiden as he flicks the last ball to short fine leg for two, the first runs after a wait of 19 balls.

Infact, New Zealand have scored just two runs from the last 20 deliveries as the run rate has taken a sharp dip.

De Grandhomme breaks the shackles as he whips Chahal through midwicket for a four. In the next over, he comes down and lofts Axar over the same region for another boundary as New Zealand look to break the sequence of tight overs from the spinners.

He opens the face of the bat and steers the last ball behind point for another four as Axar goes for 12 runs in the over.

Nicholls looks to sweep but misses as India decide against taking the review. The next ball is short as the left-hander makes room and slaps it past point for a four.

Two balls later de Grandhomme jumps down the track and loft it straight down the ground for a six to get 11 from the over.

De Grandhomme has raced his way to 23 from 20 balls, with New Zealand scoring 23 from the last two overs to put the pressure back on India.
