Williamson fails with the bat, NZ in trouble

NZ 26-2 (6 ovs) vs India | Scorecard

Bumrah bowls a maiden over to Williamson to make a good comeback after going for runs in his first over.

Bhuvneshwar beats the Kiwi captain in the next over, getting the ball to move away as the right-hander looks to steer it to thirdman but misses. He finally gets a run, punching the last ball of the over down the ground as the fielder at mid-on half stops it to keep it down to just two runs as NZ reach 24 for one in five overs.

Bumrah makes it worse for New Zealand with the big wicket of captain Williamson, who is given out leg before wicket for three. The sharp incoming delivery strikes him right in front of the wickets as he tries to flick it across the line on the leg side.

He has a small chat with non-striker Munro before deciding to take the DRS.

But the ball is clipping the top of the stumps which means the decision stays with the umpire's call and Williamson has to make his way back.

Williamson endures another failure with the bat to leave NZ in trouble on 25 for two in the sixth over.

Ross Taylor gets off the mark immediately with a single to fine leg off the first ball he faces.

After giving away 11 runs in his first over, Bumrah has concedes just three runs in his next two overs while taking the big wicket of the NZ captain.
