Jason Roy (91 off 53) carried his bat through the innings to see Delhi through as they edged Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in another close contest and register their first win of the season.

Krunal Pandya gave Mumbai a semblance of a chance picking up Pant and Maxwell in the space of two overs. However Roy and Iyer teamed up to put on a 60-run partnership and take Delhi to victory.

Mustafizur handed responsibility to defend 11 runs in the last over. 

Full and wide and Roy just smashes it over extra cover for a boundary.

Roy now gets a six over fine leg and scores levelled here.

1 run for victory and Mustafizur bowls a slower one.

And another one past Roy's outside edge and now the pressure's on Roy.

Another dot ball and has Roy got a nick to that on the way to the keeper? Decision gone to third umpire. Not out he says.

1 off 1 and Roy hammers the ball over cover and he gets a single to help Delhi register their first win of this season.

Death bowling specialist Bumrah continues.

A couple of singles to begin the over.

He has foxed Roy with a slower one who gets a top edge, the ball falls in no man's land and that is a couple to Roy.

Roy then gets a single.

Another slower one and Iyer fishes, misses it but it goes through to the keeper for a dot.

Identical ball and Delhi need 11 off the last over.



16 needed off 12 now.

Mustafizur comes back into the attack. Can he make amends for the dropped catches?

The batsmen get a single each off the 2 balls in the over.

They then scamper through for a couple.

A dot ball and 20 needed off 13 now. 

short ball and Iyer ends the over with a pull over mid-wicket for a four. 8 runs come off the over.

Bumrah back in the attack with 35 needed off 24 balls.

Iyer gets a life as he's been  dropped at short third man, the batsman scamper for a single and Roy comes on strikes.

Short ball next and Roy pulls it over mid-wicket for lovely four.

He then gets a single.

Iyer cuts and he gets a four past point. 

Iyer dropped by Mustafizur again.

Roy ends the over with a dot.


Krunal continues.

Roy connects and that is a huge six over the bowler's head.

Iyer cuts hard and that is some poor fielding on the boundary as the ball goes for a four.

Single off the last ball and 12 runs come off it. Umpire signals strategic timeout.
