CSK 113-4 (14 ovs) vs Punjab 197-7 | Scorecard

CSK need a couple of big overs to bring the asking rate under control but so far Dhoni and Rayudu are resisting taking the attack to the bowlers.

They are content to milk spinner Mujeeb around the field for ones and twos, getting just seven from his third over.

CSK are 101 for three in 12 overs, needing 97 runs from eight overs for victory.

With the asking rate going over 12, one of the two batsmen needs to change gears and hit some boundaries in the next over or two.

Ashwin comes back into the attack and builds up the pressure, giving away six runs from his third over.

Pacer Sran comes back and he makes the mistake of dropping it short as Rayudu pulls it over square leg for a six.

He follows it up with a very slow ball as Rayudu is way too early into the shot and is completely deceived.

Rayudu strokes the next ball straight to Ashwin and sets for a quick runs before he is sent back. But Ashwin is quick to get to the ball and runs out Rayudu with a direct hit as the CSK right-hander walks back after scoring 49 from 35 balls.

A superb comeback from Bran as he bowls four dot balls in a row and ends up conceding six runs from the over.

The match is slipping away from CSK, who need 85 runs from six overs for victory.
