Change of ends for Shami. A half-volley is slapped down the ground past mid-on for a four by Bairstow to put England into the lead.

Ishant gets one to cut in sharply as Buttler gets an inside edge for a four fine on the leg side.

He gets the next ball again to come in quite a lot as Buttler gets an inside edge for a single on the leg side.

Bairstow also gets an inside edge as he looks to force a short ball through the off-side.

In the next over, Bairstow slaps a half-volley from Shami down the ground past mid-on for a four and then drills the next one through the covers for another boundary.

The boundaries are coming quite regularly with England scoring at seven runs per over in the post-lunch session.

Buttler steers a wide delivery from Ishant past point for a four and then picks two runs off the third ball before keeping strike with one from the last ball.

Shami continues his wicket ways with the wicket of Buttler, who is trapped leg before wicket for a quickfire 24 from 22 balls. The right-hander shuffles across and looks to flick it across the line but misses and is trapped right in front.

The lower order starts for England as Chris Woakes walks out to the middle and India would be looking to continue pick wickets and keep the lead under control.
