India lose early wicket after England declare on 396-7

India's primary task will be see off the new ball and both Murali Vijay and KL Rahul would be looking to come up with an improved showing in the second innings.

England's hero with the ball in the first innings James Anderson to start off with the ball for the hosts.

Vijay defends the first two balls before he leaves the third ball and blocks the fourth ball.

Stuart Broad from the other end. The first ball is wide outside off-stump as Rahul offers no stroke before he defends the next ball.

Rahul again leaves the third ball before going right back to watchfully block it and offers no stroke to the last two balls as the first two overs are maiden overs.

Facing a huge deficit, India are yet to score but they lose an early wicket. Vijay gets an inside edge and is caught behind off Anderson for a duck.

A tentative Vijay was half forward as Anderson got it to swing in and take the inside edge of the bat.

Cheteshwar Pujara nearly falls off the last ball as Anderson produces another gem of a delivery.

Three overs, no runs, and India have lost their opener Viay, with another 289 needed to avoid an innings defeat.
