Rain halts play after India lose openers early

Play is yet to begin after the lunch interval with the covers still in place. It has stopped raining but the covers are yet to be taken off.

India will be happy to see rain interrupt play and delay proceedings. However, England have plenty of time in hand to force a result. There are still five sessions to go in the match and with the overhead conditions and the way how England's fast bowlers have dominated with the ball, they would fancy their chances of bowling out the Indians in a couple of session.
