Ishant Sharma comes into the attack. The first ball is full as Broad makes room and slaps it through point for two runs.
Ishant tries a short ball as Broad pulls it square on the leg side for a four and repeats the shot for the same result, to get 10 runs from the over.
Shami bowling at a good pace at the fag end of a tiring long day. Rashid is beaten off the first ball outside the off-stump before he takes a bye off the next as Pant fumbles.
Broad looks to force the third ball through the off-side but gets an inside edge on to his pads.
A poor delivery from Shami, trying a slower one, but Broad steers it through point for a four. Shami is laughing as the ball goes for a four but captain Kohli looks unimpressed.
Kohli is desperate to finish off this match quickly as he brings on spinner Ashwin. Rashid is beaten first ball as it goes straight on and he is all at sea as Ashwin bowls the outswinger, which goes past the edge.
Shami bowls a full delivery coming into left-hander Broad, but the leg before appeal is turned down.
The last ball is a full delivery which again jags in sharply as Broad manages to steer it behind point for three runs.
Broad turns Ashwin into the leg side for a single to raise the 50-run stand for the ninth wicket, from 58 balls as the duo frustrate the Indians.
Bumrah comes back and makes the breakthrough with the wicket of Broad. The fast bowler gets it to slant across the left-hander who gets the edge and is caught by Rahul at second slip, who takes another good catch.
India just one wicket away from victory.
That wicket nearly comes as Bumrah bowls a short ball which moves away to beat James Anderson, who has a tame poke but is beaten.
Another bouncer directed at the left-hander which hits him on the left hand and he seems to be in some pain.
Superb bouncer from Bumrah again, directed at the body as Anderson looks to avoid but is hit on the gloves as the ball goes on to the helmet.
He taps the next ball to point and sets for a quick single to get off the mark.
Shami also targets Anderson with the bouncer, who tries to take evasive action but the ball hits the bat handle and goes fine on the leg side for a four.
The next ball is full and comes in sharply as Anderson is hit high on the pads but the leg before appeal is turned down.
Shami pitches it up as Anderson taps it on the off-side and gets off strike before Rashid defends the last three balls of the over.
Four more overs left in the day. Can England survive the day?
Bumrah nearly finishes off the game as he gets one to slant across Anderson, who has a poke but misses. He throws his bat at the next ball, which is full and wide but fails to make contact.
Bumrah switches to round the wicket as Anderson looks to flick it on the leg side but Dhawan pulls off a fine diving stop at short fine leg.
Shami bowls a short wide delivery as Rashid steers it past point for a four to take England past 300, in the 100th over.
The fourth ball is on the stumps and Rashid clips it along the ground through midwicket for another boundary.
Rashid manages to see off the over, leaving India with just two overs to claim the last wicket before stumps.
