Jasprit Bumrah claimed five wickets but England managed to take the match into the fifth and final day to frustrate the Indians, in the third Test against in Nottingham on Tuesday.

Bumrah took five for 85 but England managed to finish on 311 for nine at stumps on the penultimate day, after being set a huge 521 for victory.

Buttler's dismissal to Bumrah saw England lose wickets in a hurry as Jonny Bairstow, Chris Woakes and Stokes also departed in quick succession as the hosts slipped to 241 for eight.

Stuart Broad made 20 before he was caught in the slips off Bumrah but Adil Rashid (30 not out) and James Anderson (8 not out) managed to play out the remaining overs till stumps to delay the inevitable.

India's victory will help them stay alive in the five-match series. England lead the series 2-1 following their victories in the first two Tests.
