Eng 201-4 (72 ovs); Target to win: 521 | Scorecard

Bumrah also getting the ball to reverse as Stokes clips it through square leg for a couple. He is carefully defending against Bumrah, playing it late to guard against the reverse swing.

Stokes punches the last ball, an overpitched delivery, down the ground for a single to mid-off.

In the next over, Stokes drives a full delivery from Ishant through the covers for three runs and Buttler manages to defend the rest of the over.

Ashwin comes back into the attack, in place of Bumrah. Stokes is watchful against the off-spinner, playing five dot balls in a row, before taking a single from the last ball to keep strike.

The ball is doing quite a bit as the pacers continue to extract some reverse swing and Stokes does well to keep out Ishant's over with utmost caution.

In the next over, Ashwin overpitches and also offers some width as Buttler creams it again through his favoured cover region for a four to take his score to 86, his highest in Tests.

Ishant bowls a high full toss which Stokes clips through midwicket for two runs despite taking a slight tumble. That helps him bring up his fifty, from 147 balls, his slowest in Test cricket.

A good fightback by England as they reach 201 for four in 72 overs, still needing another 320 runs for victory.

Buttler has stroked his way to 86 from 138 balls, while Stokes has patiently batted to score 51 from 148 balls.
