Buttler, Stokes keep India at bay

Bumrah is back into the attack as Ishant is taken off. Buttler pulls a short ball for two runs before the pacer bowls a no-ball. Bumrah then gets Buttler to drive at a wide outswinger but it falls short of the wicketkeeper and goes away for a four.

Ashwin then gets one to turn sharply as Stokes coming forward to defend is beaten.

Bumrah produces another opportunity in his next over as he again makes Buttler chases a wide delivery but yet again the edge falls short of the first slip fielder.

Bumrah continues to bowl it wide but following the edge Buttler is careful to chase it. But he can't resist for long as he throws his bat at the last ball which flies past the gully fielder for a four.

Stokes looking to score some runs as he paddles Ashwin fine on the leg side for a four. But he is beaten two balls later as Ashwin gets a flighted delivery to turn big to go past the edge.

Stokes defends one as it goes on the bounce off the shoes to silly point as India appeal for the catch but the umpires check with the TV umpire before ruling it not out.

Stokes clips the last ball through midwicket for a couple of runs.

Stokes and Buttler continue to deny the Indians, the duo have batted for more than 25 overs now, adding 69 runs from 151 balls, to take England to 131 for four in 50 overs.
