Buttler, Stokes keep India at bay

Bumrah begins proceedings with the ball for India after the tea interval. Buttler clips the second ball through square leg for three runs as Rahane does well to cut it inside the boundary.

Ben Stokes is beaten next ball as Bumrah slants it across the left-hander before he sees off the rest of the over.

Ishant Sharma comes back into the attack. He bowls a short wide delivery which Buttler crash through point for a four as he continues to keep the runs coming for England.

India are trying hard for that elusive breakthrough but so far Stokes and Buttle have done well to keep the bowlers at bay.

Bumrah continues to trouble the batsmen as Stokes is beaten by one that leaves him.

Ishant bowls a cracker next ball as Buttler plays inside the line and is beaten on the outside edge. A full delivery comes in sharply to Buttler who does well to keep the ball out, digging it out on the leg side.

Ishant tries the same delivery but this time it is down the leg side as Buttler clips it fine for a four.

The last ball is pitched perfectly, in the corridor outside the off-stump as Buttler gets a thick outside edge which goes past the slips to the vacant thirdman region for a four as the right-hander takes his score into the 80s.
