Pandya comes into the attack, replacing Bumrah. Broad is beaten off the second ball outside the off-stump before England get four leg byes off the next ball as Pandya drifts down the leg side.

Broad turns the fourth ball on the leg side for two runs and then hits the next ball through the covers for three runs.

Pandya tries a short ball but Curran pulls it through square leg for a couple to get 11 from the over.

Pandya has leaked runs, giving away 44 runs from his seven overs, while picking up a wicket.

Broad tries to sweep Ashwin but misses as India appeal for leg before which is turned down.

Ashwin and Kohli are undecided but Pant forces them to take the review. The impact is outside the line of off-stump which means Broad survives and India up losing their second and final review.

Lady luck shining brightly on Broad, who edges the last ball but it goes in the narrow gap between wicketkeeper and Rahane at slip for a four.

This ninth-wicket partnership has quickly raked up the runs for England, as Curran and Broad have amassed 44 runs from 39 balls to score some vital runs for the hosts.

In the next over, Curran taps Pandya on the off-side for one and Broad clips the pacer behind square on the leg side for a couple.

Broad slaps the fourth ball past point for three runs as the duo race to the 50-run stand for the ninth wicket from just 43 balls.

Pandya tries a short ball as Curran goes for the pull but is beaten before he walks across a long way and clips the pacer to deep midwicket for a single to keep strike.

Shami comes into the attack as India get desperate for a breakthrough with India quickly piling on the runs.

Bumrah comes back from the other end. He starts with a slower ball as Curran miscues it straight back over the bowler's head for two runs.

The next ball is short and wide as Curran slashes it through point for a four and then takes a single to take his score into the 70s.

Broad also looks quite comfortable as he steers the fourth ball to thirdman for a single and Curran takes another quick run.

Bumrah finally makes the breakthrough with the wicket of Broad, who is trapped leg before wicket as he goes right back and looks to play across the line.

Broad dismissed for 17 as England are reduced to 240 for nine, with Curran unbeaten on 73.
